Behind The Can.
As hunters who run dozens of trail cams year-round, we got tired of receiving low battery alerts and settling for a spots that weren't perfect for photos. And, just when we thought we had the answer of running cameras connected to 12v batteries, we soon realized that field rodents lived for chewing those wires, just how we we live for deer hunting. It was at that point that we realized that there had to be a better way to not only extend battery life, but also provide a solid mounting anchor regardless of the location, as well as decreasing the amount of exposed wire. It wasn't long after that the first CAMmo Can was born.
Assembled in Texas, one at a time, by hand, we use decommissioned military ammo cans to make running your cameras for extended periods in tough places a no-brainer. Whether you're trying to get shots of spring gobblers in their strut zone or elk near a secluded wallow, the CAMmo Can will attach to nearly any tree, T-post, fence post or just sit flat on the ground. With each Can equipped with a swivel head to mount your trail cam to, the possibilities are nearly endless when it comes to finding the perfect angle to lock your camera in on. To assist with the gnarliest of weather, the CAMmo Can comes ready to roll with an installed IP68 waterproof wire gland with a wire of your choice dependent on your specific camera. Once connected to a battery(not included and always refer to your camera's specifications on which battery voltage will work, not all cameras take a 12 volt), your cameras are good to go for extended periods of time, which means more photos and less time spent changing out batteries and disrupting your spot. And, when it's time to pull your cameras for the season, the CAMmo Can doubles as a storage box for your camera, antennas and memory cards.
